Forge & Cook Failures

CrimeForge calls its final cook/package operation Forge.

When a Forge fails, start with the first meaningful error in the Output Log rather than the final summary line.

Common causes include:

  • Blueprint compile errors.

  • Missing asset references.

  • Content excluded from cook.

  • Plugin or module load failures.

  • Invalid PAL or mod content selection.

  • Commandlet-incompatible editor plugins.

A successful Forge should package only the assets intended for the selected mod.

Missing PackagePlugin.cs

If the error says it cannot find PackagePlugin.cs, delete the Saved/CrimeForge/Setup/ folder inside your modkit project, then run Forge again.

This forces CrimeForge to repeat its first-time setup and should resolve the missing-file error.
